Sur Sangum is delighted to present noted exponent of ghazals, geets and sufi music, Yasmin Rashid. A seasoned artist, poet and singer, US-based Yasmin Rashid is versatile and multi-faceted. Yasmin learnt classical music and being the exceptional vocalist that she is, worked with various music styles such as Ghazals, Semi-classical and Sufi music. She is committed to community service, supports through her music, various fundraisers to promote literacy for the under privileged children in Pakistan. She is presently serving on the board of Trumbull Art Gallery in Ohio. Yasmins’ greatest sources of inspiration are Madam Noor Jahan and Ustad Amanat Ali Khan. Yasmin Rashid is specially coming to perform for Sur Sangum in Toronto.
